Fuel Surge Progress

After some false starts and setbacks, I have a functioning Control Module prototype fitted in the car and it is working beautifully.

The basis for the unit is this Voltage sensing Relay Module I bought off AliExpress. Added to an interface with a Buffer OpAmp fitted.

I am leaving the home-made prototype board in the car for prolonged testing and should the results be as expected, I will have the above professional boards manufactured.

Round One NSW Supersprints

Main Straight SMSP

Round One of the NSW Supersprints was held at Sydney Motorsport Park on the Gardner GP Circuit Sunday the 12th March 2023.

It was My first time at this track in 2 years, first time on any track in 13 months.

Also, the Tyres were 2 years old and past their best, but hey, who cares right?

Well, it turns out I did when I spun on the outlap like a complete NUPTY! Anyway, the first session resulted in the blistering time of 2:02.6 which is roughly 8 seconds a lap SLOWER than my best at this Circuit. AWESOME!

So anyway, by the end I was down to a sort of respectable 1:56.5, but with 2 sessions left to run, the Tyres were completely shot, the exhaust mounts at the rear had Brocken and the pipes were sitting on the defuser and I was knackered, so we called it a day before I put the thing in the Wall.

BIG thanks to Dave from NEWCASTLE AUTOMOTIVE SERVICES for prepping the car and monitoring the Tyres and the setup during the course of the day, and also to my Son Jacob for acting as camera man and scribe for Dave. Bring on Round Two ! (And New Tyres)

Progress

Things are finally coming together with the Twin Fuel Pump Control Module project, with the new design tested on a Bread Board satisfactorily.

I have changed the MOSFET in the design to one with a drive voltage of 10V, which necessitated the inclusion of a 10V Voltage divider, other than that, it is the same as in the last post. Boards are being manufactured now.
